Our Commitment to Privacy
Our Privacy Policy was developed as an extension of our commitment to combine quality services with integrity in dealing with members. Passive Information Collected
For each visitor to our Web page, a Web server automatically recognizes and collects only the users domain name, (where possible), but not the e-mail address. Passive information, such as what pages users access or visit, is also collected.
How Do We Use the Information Collected?
Broadly speaking, employee's and/or agents at our direction, use Active Information for purposes of administering our business activities and providing member services such as support, membership, news & information. We use Passive Information to gather information about our users and to enhance and design our site to make it easier, faster and friendlier to use. We do not connect any Passive information to your personal information or email address. The Passive information we collect is used for internal review to improve the content of our Web page and is then discarded. Active information is used to notify members about updates to our Web site, and to disseminate by eMail, updates, news & information. It is not shared with any third party.
Your Information In Relation to Others We Link To
You are able to access other websites through The American Legion Department of Arkansas site(s). We secure your personal information submitted by you by using reasonable efforts to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, or accidental loss or destruction of Active Information and Passive Information. eMail addresses are not shared with any third party. Communications you may have with us via email or U.S. Mail may not be secure unless we advise you that security measures are in place prior to your sending information. Therefore, if you choose to communicate with us through these means, you are assuming the risk of doing so and we request that you do not send or post sensitive information through these means.

The American Legion Department of Arkansas has a web page that allows anyone, at anytime to send mass eMail messages to those who have signed-up to receive updates, news & information. The eMail Mailing List is an interactive service intended to allow members to send and receive updates, news and information about events and activities at their post and in their communities; and other useful related info, to other members who have signed up on the eMail Mailing List. By the very nature of this service, The American Legion Department of Arkansas will not be responsibile for any eMail message(s), or its content, that is sent and/or received from this service. eMail addresses we collect are not shared with any third party. If at any time you do not wish to receive such information, please send us an email at arlegion.org news & information to be removed from the eMail Mailing List.
